About Pet Water Fountain Picks

Pet Water Fountain Picks is a small independent site about pet water fountains for cats and dogs. It is written by pet owners who got tired of hunting through manuals and support pages to find a filter code, a part name or a noise claim.

We are not veterinarians, and nobody on the team has veterinary training. Where a health question comes up, such as how much water a pet should drink, we link to the relevant source and suggest you ask your own vet.

What the site covers

• Fountains for cats, dogs and both, in every common material: plastic, stainless steel, ceramic and glass.
• Replacement filters and pumps, and which ones fit which fountain.
• Fixes for common problems such as a noisy pump, a fountain that stops running or water that smells.
• Brand pages with links to each manufacturer's own manuals and support pages.
• Short guides on cleaning and setup.

We do not cover every product on the market. Models are added to our database when we can find a manufacturer page or manual for them.

The team

The site is run by a small team under one shared byline, "The petwaterfountainpicks team". We publish under a team name instead of personal names, and we do not use stock photos of people.

• Research and data. Collects specifications from manufacturer websites, manuals and support pages, records the source link and the date each one was checked, and rechecks them on a schedule.
• Writing and editing. Turns that data into plain-language pages, summarizes owner-reported problems in our own words, and handles corrections.

Both roles are filled by pet owners with cats and dogs at home. That is the only experience we claim. The full process is described on the How we research page.

How the site is funded

The site earns money through the Amazon Associates program. When you click a "Check price on Amazon" link and buy something, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Details are on the disclosure page.
