Fountain filter and pump finder
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. How this works.
Type your fountain's brand or model name (or the code printed on its base) into the finder below to see the filter and pump the manufacturer lists for it. If the model is not listed, read the part code off the old filter's packaging or the manual and match it by hand.

Try the brand name, the model code printed on the base, or the filter code from the old packaging. Still stuck? Read when to change the filter or contact us.
How do I find my fountain's filter code?
Start with the fountain itself. Most makers print a model name or number on the underside of the base or on the box. Catit, for example, sells several fountains that share the Flower name, and the filter you need depends on which one you own, so the exact name matters more than the colour or size.
If the label is worn off, use these in order:
- The manual. Manufacturers host PDFs for most current models, and the brand pages linked below point to them where we have the address.
- The order confirmation or packaging, which usually carries the model name.
- The old filter. Part codes are often printed on the pack, and the finder searches them as well as model names.
Search the finder with whatever you have: a brand, part of a model name, or a code. The table beneath it works without JavaScript too, and every row shows the date we last checked the source.
Original or compatible filter?
An original filter is made by the fountain's own brand and listed for your model. A compatible filter is made by someone else and says it fits. Original parts are the safe default because the manufacturer's interval and cleaning advice are written around them.
Our rule in this database: a compatible filter appears only when its own maker states the fit for that model. We do not guess from shape or from what other buyers say worked. If you buy a third-party filter, check the product page names your model, and compare the media (carbon, resin, foam) with the original, since a filter without a pre-filter foam layer lets hair reach the pump sooner.
Why change intervals differ between brands
The numbers in the database are manufacturer claims and they do not agree. Catit states about 30 days for its triple action filter, PETLIBRO states two weeks, and PetSafe gives 2 to 4 weeks for carbon and 1 to 2 months for foam. Makers also add conditions: more pets, a dirty room or hard water mean sooner. Treat the stated number as a ceiling and change earlier if flow drops or the water smells. The replacement interval page has the full comparison and the warning signs.

FAQ
How do I know which filter my pet fountain takes?
Look for the model name or code on the underside of the base, then match it in the finder above. The manual and the manufacturer's product page for your model also name the filter. Shape alone is a poor guide, because filters from the same brand often look alike but differ by a few millimetres.
Can I use a compatible filter instead of the original?
Only when the filter maker states that it fits your exact model. In our database a compatible filter is listed only if its maker documents the fit. Mixing a near-match into a fountain can leave a gap that lets water bypass the media.
How often should I change the filter?
It depends on the manufacturer. Stated intervals in our database range from about two weeks to about four weeks for the main filter, with separate, longer intervals for foam pre-filters. The full list is on the replacement interval page.
Do all fountains have a replaceable pump?
No. Some pumps are separate parts sold by the manufacturer, while PETLIBRO's Dockstream models use a rotor driven from the base instead of a pump in the water. Check the pump column in the finder, and see the pumps page for the types.
