PETLIBRO water fountains

PETLIBRO's fountains in our database are four Dockstream models, which use a rotor in the tank instead of a pump in the water, and one stainless steel fountain with a conventional pump. Pick by pet, power source and whether you want app tracking; the table below compares the manufacturer's specs.

How is the PETLIBRO line-up organized?
PETLIBRO's fountains in our database fall into two groups. The Dockstream family (Dockstream, Dockstream 2 in cordless and plug-in versions, and Dockstream RFID) uses a stainless steel or plastic tray over a tank. The maker calls the design pumpless: a motor in the base turns a rotor inside the tank, so no pump sits in the water. The Stainless Steel Fountain is a more traditional design with a stainless body and a submersible pump, and the maker states noise at 30 dB or below. All figures in the table are the manufacturer's claims, and each row links its source.
Which PETLIBRO model suits which home?
These are decision rules based on the specs, not a verdict that one model is better.
- One cat, a spot with no outlet nearby: the Dockstream 2 Smart Cordless runs on a built-in battery or plugged in; the maker says up to 30 days per charge for one pet in sensor mode. The original Dockstream Cordless is a smaller 2.5 L option with a battery and a motion (radar) mode.
- Several cats and you want to log drinking: the Dockstream RFID pairs collar tags with an app and, per the maker, can track up to 5 cats. It needs a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- A cat or a small to medium dog, mains power: the Dockstream 2 Smart (plug-in) is the corded twin of the cordless Dockstream 2, with the same 3 L tank and app.
- No app, easy cleaning: the Stainless Steel Fountain has no smart features. PETLIBRO says all parts except the pump, holder, filters, flow controller and water outlet can go in the dishwasher.
For a large dog, the maker's 3 L tanks are the limit, so look at the dog section for bigger capacities.
What is PETLIBRO Dockstream?
Dockstream is PETLIBRO's name for its pumpless fountain family, not a separate brand. It covers four models in our database: the original Dockstream Cordless (2.5 L), the Dockstream 2 Smart Cordless, the plug-in Dockstream 2 Smart (both 3 L), and the Dockstream RFID. According to PETLIBRO, a motor in the base turns a rotor inside the tank, so there is no pump in the water to clean. All four share filter PL-FF005, and the maker gives about two weeks as the change interval. If you searched for "PETLIBRO Dockstream", the table above is the full list, and the filters page has the part details.
Filters and pumps
The four Dockstream models share one filter, part PL-FF005, and the stainless fountain takes PL-FF003, with its own replacement pump (PL-FF013-01W). PETLIBRO gives about two weeks as the change interval. The full table, with install steps and answers, is on the PETLIBRO filters page, and the pump page explains how the Dockstream rotor differs from a normal pump.
Common PETLIBRO problems
Our fix records for the brand cover a low-water alert that appears with a full tank (the water sensor needs calibrating on the Dockstream 2), a fountain that will not run (power, a switch or a dirty rotor shaft), leaks, noise from a dirty rotor shaft or low water, weak flow from a clogged filter, and rust spots on the stainless tray from food salt and moisture. Each is listed with its source in the section below the table. Start from the troubleshooting section.

Known PETLIBRO issues
Water sensor needs calibrating (low-water alert with a full tank, or flow that stops and starts)
- Press and hold the fountain in the Petlibro app and unbind it.
- Reset the fountain and add it to the app again.
- When the app starts the calibration, lift the tank off the base and clear everything off the base.
- Make sure the base sits on a flat, stable surface, confirm in the app and finish the calibration.

Power problem, switch off or a dirty rotor shaft
- Try the original cord and adapter on another outlet or device to rule out a power fault.
- If no indicator lights glow, turn on the power switch.
- Take off the rotor cover and check that the shaft inside the tank is clean.
- Refill the tank, put the rotor back and turn it gently with a finger to see if the fountain starts.
- Clean the rotor and shaft and swap the filters about every two weeks, brushing the thin shaft only lightly.

Leak from the tank, a clogged filter or spout, or drips from the pet
- Dry the whole fountain, fill the tank, set it on a dry flat surface off the base and wait an hour to see whether the tank itself leaks.
- Move the fountain out of your pet's reach for a while; water dripping from fur or whiskers can look like a leak.
- Remove the filter and spout and run it again to see whether overflow stops.
- Replace the filters and clean the pump about every two weeks (more often with several pets).

Dirty rotor shaft, low water, clogged filter tray or an unlevel base
- Remove the rotor cover and inspect the shaft, cleaning it gently.
- Fill the tank to the maximum line.
- Replace the filter and clear hair or food from the filter tray so water drains normally instead of dripping onto the surface.
- Stand the fountain on a flat, stable surface so water does not fall straight from the outlet and splash.

Clogged filter, debris build-up or dirty pump
- Replace the filter; the maker recommends every two weeks for one pet and more often for several.
- Soak and rinse the new filter for about five minutes before fitting it.
- Clean the pump area and remove trapped hair or debris.
When to replace a part: Flow stays weak after a fresh filter and a full clean.

Rust spots on the stainless steel tray from food salt, grease and moisture
- Mix one tablespoon of baking soda into two cups of water.
- Rub the paste-like mixture onto the spots with a soft cloth.
- Rinse well; for stubborn marks use a stainless cleaner that is safe for pet products.
