All four Pioneer Pet fountains in our database (Raindrop and Big Max, each in ceramic and stainless steel) share one filter and one pump. The filter is sold as 3002 (3-pack) or 3014 (4-pack), and the pump and transformer is 3026A. Pioneer advises a filter change every 2 to 4 weeks.

Which Pioneer Pet filter fits which fountain?
Pioneer keeps this simple. The Raindrop (60 oz, 1.8 L) and the Big Max (128 oz, 3.8 L) share the same filter and the same pump, whether the bowl is ceramic or stainless steel. The finder above shows each model with its part and a check date.
| Fountain | Model code | Filter | Pump |
|---|---|---|---|
| Raindrop Ceramic 60 oz | 6022 | 3002 or 3014 | 3026A |
| Raindrop Stainless Steel 60 oz | 6023 | 3002 or 3014 | 3026A |
| Big Max Ceramic 128 oz | 3005 | 3002 or 3014 | 3026A |
| Big Max Stainless Steel 128 oz | 3009 | 3002 or 3014 | 3026A |
The filter is a three-layer, BPA-free charcoal design according to Pioneer. The 3002 pack holds three, the 3014 pack four. Pioneer's separate plastic fountain range uses a different filter (3003) that does not apply here.
How often should I replace it?
Pioneer advises every 2 to 4 weeks. That range depends on pet count and water quality, which the maker does not quantify. In a one-pet home with clean water you can reasonably stay near four weeks; with several pets or a fountain that smells, stay near two. Flow dropping off is the other signal, and Pioneer's own notes link a past-interval filter to weak flow. The interval comparison shows the other makers.
How do I care for the pump?
Pioneer says to clean the pump once a month and the fountain weekly. Its pump-cleaning video shows the pump taken apart so debris can be cleared from every piece. The support notes say a pump that has stopped often just needs this clean. If it is still dead afterward, the 3026A pump and transformer is the listed replacement for all four models. The pump finder compares pump parts across brands, and the fix hub covers noise and flow problems in general.
Installing a new filter
Our database has no direction note for these filters, so follow the Pioneer instruction sheet for the fit. Unplug the fountain first, take out the used filter from its housing, fit the new one, and give the bowl a wash while it is apart. Dishwasher use is limited to the bowl according to the maker.
What if my model is not here?
Pioneer also makes plastic fountains that are not in our database. Use the instructions link on Pioneer's site or search the filter finder.
FAQ
Are filters 3002 and 3014 the same?
According to Pioneer, yes. 3014 is the same charcoal filter as 3002, sold in a pack of 4 instead of 3. Both are listed for the ceramic and stainless fountains.
Do Pioneer plastic fountain filters fit the ceramic and stainless ones?
No. Pioneer notes that the 3002 filter is not for its plastic fountains, which use 3003. Match the filter to the material of your fountain.
How often should I change a Pioneer Pet filter?
Pioneer advises every 2 to 4 weeks depending on how many pets drink from it and your water. Our database records two weeks, the short end of that range.
Does the pump need replacing?
Only if it stays dead after a full clean. Pioneer says to clean the pump monthly, and sells the 12V pump and transformer 3026A as the replacement for all Raindrop and Big Max fountains.
