PETKIT fountain filters by model

PETKIT lists two filters for its EverSweet fountains in our database: the Filter Unit 3.0 (P4161) for the Solo 2 and 3 Pro, and the Filter Unit RECT (P4171) for the Max (Cordless). PETKIT gives 2 to 4 weeks per filter. The Max 2 (UVC) has no filter named on the pages we read.

Which PETKIT filter fits which fountain?

PETKIT has split its EverSweet filters by tank design. The smaller Solo 2 and 3 Pro use the round Filter Unit 3.0 with polypropylene cotton, coconut shell activated carbon and ion-exchange resin. The Max (Cordless) uses the Filter Unit RECT, a different shape with polypropylene cotton and sintered activated carbon. The finder above lists each model with the part and a check date; the summary is here.

Fountain Filter Part code Media listed
EverSweet Solo 2 Filter Unit 3.0 P4161 Polypropylene cotton, coconut shell carbon, ion-exchange resin
EverSweet 3 Pro (UVC) Filter Unit 3.0 P4161 Same
EverSweet Max (Cordless) Filter Unit RECT P4171 Polypropylene cotton, sintered activated carbon
EverSweet Max 2 (UVC) Not named on the pages we read n/a n/a

Both are sold as packs of five. Because the shapes differ, the two are not interchangeable even though both come from PETKIT.

How often should I replace it?

PETKIT states 2 to 4 weeks, with an app reminder when the fountain is paired. That window is wide, and PETKIT does not say what moves you toward the short end. The usual reasons are several pets, long fur, or a household that notices smell or reduced flow before the reminder appears. The interval comparison shows how this sits against other makers.

What about the wireless pump?

All four EverSweet models use the Wireless Water Pump FFT1-2, part P41161, in a standard or a UVC version. PETKIT describes a heat-resistant housing and a water-level sensor that stops the pump when the tank runs low. A pump that sits in a slot on the base and has no cable through the water works differently from a submersible one; the pump page explains what that means for cleaning and replacement.

If the pump stops, the fix is usually a refill, reseating it in its slot, and clearing debris, which is covered on the PETKIT troubleshooting page.

Installing a new PETKIT filter

Four panels: unplug and remove the old filter, rinse the new one, fit it, refill and restart
The general replacement sequence; the PETKIT manual shows the exact holder for your model.

Our database has no direction note for either PETKIT filter, so follow the orientation in your manual. In general, unplug the fountain, remove the old unit from its holder, fit the new one, refill to the fill line and restart. Do this at the same time as a wash of the tank and tray, since a clogged filter and a dirty pump both show up as weak flow.

What if my model is not here?

Only the EverSweet range is recorded. For other PETKIT fountains, use the manuals link on the PETKIT brand page or search the filter finder.

FAQ

Which filter fits the PETKIT EverSweet Solo 2?

The PETKIT Filter Unit 3.0, part P4161, sold as a pack of 5. PETKIT lists the same filter for the EverSweet 3 Pro (UVC).

Does the EverSweet Max use a different filter?

Yes. The Max (Cordless) is listed with the Filter Unit RECT, part P4171, also a pack of 5. Do not swap it with the 3.0 unit.

What filter does the EverSweet Max 2 use?

We could not confirm it. The Max 2 pages we read do not name a replacement filter type, so we show no filter for it rather than guess. Check the Max 2 manual or PETKIT support.

How often should a PETKIT filter be replaced?

PETKIT states 2 to 4 weeks per filter, and the app sends a reminder. Hairy, multi-pet or hard-water homes should lean toward the short end.
