PETKIT EverSweet troubleshooting

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. How this works.

When a PETKIT EverSweet stops, the usual cause is its low-water protection. Refill to the fill line, reseat the wireless pump in its slot, make sure the base has power, and clean the pump. Replace the filter on PETKIT's 2 to 4 week schedule.

PETKIT publishes troubleshooting guidance in two places we could verify: the EverSweet Solo 2 manual and its wireless pump page. This page combines that guidance with the general symptom tree and how PETKIT fountains are built, and points you to PETKIT support for anything beyond it. Everything here is paraphrased from published sources; we have not run these fountains ourselves.

Why wireless pumps behave differently

The EverSweet range does not have a cable running to a submerged pump. The pump sits in the base and the base supplies the 5V DC. PETKIT says the pump has a water-level sensor that cuts it off when the tank is low. That protects the motor, but it means that a fountain that "stopped" has often just protected itself. It also means two things can look like low water: a genuinely low tank, and a pump that is not seated properly or is blocked.

Step by step: EverSweet not running

  1. Check the water. Refill to the fill line. On the Solo 2, a flashing blue light means standby for low water, and it resumes once refilled.
  2. Check the light pattern. If the light alternates blue and green on the Solo 2, replug the USB cable to restart.
  3. Check power. Confirm the base is powered. The Solo 2 and 3 Pro need USB power at all times; the Max models can use the battery or USB.
  4. Reseat the pump. Lift it out and push it fully back into its slot.
  5. Clean the pump. Clear any debris that blocks it. Our noisy pump page explains the general approach.
  6. Replace the filter if it is past PETKIT's 2 to 4 weeks. Part codes are on the PETKIT filters page.

Which model details matter?

  • Solo 2 and 3 Pro: USB power only. A loose cable is a genuine possibility.
  • Max (Cordless) and Max 2: battery plus USB. We have no PETKIT battery troubleshooting record, so for a battery that will not hold a charge, go to PETKIT.
  • 3 Pro and Max 2: UVC pump version of the same part number.

For leaks, film in the water, or a persistent buzz, the general pages apply: leaking, slime and dirty water and noisy pump. The pump finder covers wireless pumps across brands.

When to contact PETKIT

If a refill, a reseated pump, a cleaned pump and a fresh filter do not restart the fountain, treat the pump as the likely fault and replace it or contact PETKIT support from the help link below. The PETKIT brand page has manuals for each model.

Known issues and fixes

FAQ

What does a flashing blue light mean on a PETKIT EverSweet?

On the Solo 2, PETKIT's manual says the fountain is in standby because the water level is too low. Refill the tank and normal operation resumes.

What if the light alternates blue and green?

The manual says to unplug and replug the USB cable to restart the fountain. If it keeps happening, contact PETKIT support.

Why did the pump stop although the tank has water?

Check that the wireless pump sits fully in its slot and that the base is powered. The pump has a water-level sensor, so debris or an unseated pump can look like low water. Clean it and refit it.

Is the PETKIT wireless pump replaceable?

Yes. The Wireless Water Pump FFT1-2, part P41161, is listed for the Solo 2, 3 Pro, Max and Max 2, in standard and UVC versions.
